Most of the campsites in Scotland are of a very good standard it mainly just the facilities on offer that varies - as you would expect a very small remote campsite on an island might not have as much to offer but you'll most likely get a lovely warm welcome.
In summer months, particularly at weekends, and at public holidays it is best to book pitches and as always the more warning you can give the campsite the better. There's nothing worse than just turning up to find a campsite full.
We are a member of the Camping and Caravan Club Privilege Scheme allowing you stay at one of their campsites which have been inspected and get up to 30% off fees. You can Click Here to visit their website to find out their locations and they are booked by calling 024 7647 5426, mentioning the booking is under the Privilege Scheme. You will have to pay a deposit and the balance is due at the campsite by showing the membership fob.
There are loads of other great campsites though and some of the websites to use :
www.scottishcamping.com
www.ukcampsite.co.uk
www.campsites.co.uk (or for just motorhome campsites in Scotland www.campsites.co.uk/search/motorhome-parks-in-scotland )
If you have been enjoying a day exploring make sure you're not too late getting to a campsite as they will have a time they stop letting people in. This is to avoid disturbing other campers.
